Choose the plan that fits your lifestyle

You can drive as much or as little as you like in any plan, and switch between plans whenever you want to (starting the new plan on the 1st of the next month).

We believe rates should be simple and economical. That’s why we’ve designed three different plans to meet your unique needs, including automatic discounts for longer trips. To join, there is a non-refundable $29 application fee per driver applicant.

The Simple Plan (the occasional driver)

This plan is designed for people who really aren't going to drive that much, maybe once or twice a month. There’s a low annual fee of $45, for which members pay an hourly - or daily- rate when they drive, and get 150 km free with each trip. If they drive more than that on their trip, they're charged 25¢/km.

The Metro Plan (the frequent driver)

This plan is designed for more regular users, people who typically drive 3 or more times per month. There’s a low monthly fee of $15, for which members will receive an hourly - or daily- rate (lower than the Simple plan) when they drive, and get 150 km free with each trip. If they drive more than that on their trip, they're charged 25¢/km

The Metro Plus Plan (the long distance driver more kilometres)
This plan is designed for more regular users who also need to drive longer distances, people who typically drive 3 or more times per month and more than 150 kilometres per day. There’s a monthly fee of $25, for which members will receive an hourly - or daily- rate (lower than the Simple plan) when they drive, and get 250 km free with each trip. If they drive more than that on their trip, they're charged 25¢/km.

Vehicle Premiums
AutoShare provides a full range of vehicles to members. Some vehicles, like our Largo Cargo vans ($2.50), Cargo mini-vans ($2), pick up trucks ($2), Fiat 500’s ($0.50), Toyota Camry Hybrids ($1), Toyota Prius V's ($0.50), Scion xB (0.50) and winter tire equipped cars ($0.50), have a small hourly or daily rate premium to cover the increased purchase and operating costs compared to our base vehicles. A small number of locations with higher parking costs also have a small hourly or daily rate premium.

Gas @$1.20/litre (as of January 1, 2012)

All AutoShare rates include the cost of gas, based on an average fuel cost of $1.20 / litre. To avoid constantly changing our rates simply due to fluctuations in the price of fuel, we add a small credit or surcharge to each kilometre travelled based on the average price paid by members for gas in that month (and our fleet's average consumption of 10 litres/100 km).

Save by booking online

Internet reservations and changes are free. You can also use your Smart Phone to make a reservation, anywhere, anytime. Using our 24-hour call centre is $2.50.

AutoShare is a Membership-based service

To join AutoShare there is an Application fee of $29 (per driver, +HST). Whichever Rate Plan you choose (ie. Simple Plan), your Plan Fees will be billed on your first invoice (ie. $45)

Choose $750 deductible -or- $0 Deductible?

The standard deductible for damage to AutoShare vehicles is $750 (if the member is deemed to be ‘at fault’). Remember you can be responsible to damage for ‘bad luck’ like having a rock hit the windshield or getting ‘hit and run’ in a parking lot.
AutoShare provides you with options to reduce your deductible to $0:

• Members with eligible Canadian Gold or Platinum VISA cards can take advantage of the provided $0 Deductible Collision Damage Insurance.
  To enroll, please download the VISA Zero Deductible form and either mail or fax (416.340.0080) it back to us.
• AutoShare members with eligible Gold or Platinum Canadian MasterCards from Citi, CapitalONE, MBNA and Bank of Montreal Mosaik can take advantage of the provided $0 Deductible Collision Damage Insurance.
  To enroll, please download the MasterCard Zero Deductible form and either mail or fax (416.340.0080) it back to us.
• Members with a Scotiabank Amex (only Scotiabank Amex currently extends coverage to carsharing) can take advantage of the provided $0 Deductible Collision Damage Insurance.
  To enroll, please download the Scotiabank Amex Zero Deductible form and either mail or fax (416.340.0080) it back to us.
• Members can now pay a $65 annual fee to have their collision damage deductible reduced to $0. To enroll, please sign up via My Account and the Summary tab in the AutoShare reservation site.

Build an Insurance Record

Members are considered to have been continually covered by AutoShare’s policy. We can provide you with a Letter of Insurance Coverage from our insurance company certifying your coverage history with AutoShare - which may save your $1,000's if you ever need to get personal auto insurance in the future.

Free Parking

Buying a parking spot at a condo in Toronto can easily cost $20,000 or more, and renting one often $150 per month. AutoShare's service includes the cost of parking in the hourly (or daily) rate, so you can buy just the little bit of parking you need. And, if you own a spot - why not join and sell it, a great return on a small investment! (The parking included is just at the car's 'home' location. If you need to park somewhere else, you'll still need to pay for that, if requried.)
