Choose the plan that fits your lifestyle
You can drive as much or as little as you like in any plan, and switch between plans whenever you want to (starting the new plan on the 1st of the next month). Our Simple Plan is designed for people who really aren't going to drive that much, maybe once or twice a month. They pay a simple hourly - or daily- rate when they drive, and get 150 km free with each trip. If they drive more than that on their trip, they're charged 25¢/km. Our Standard Plan is designed for people driving about once or twice a week. The cost of each trip is a combination of time and distance (with the typical person driving about 10 km per hour, for a cost of $8.50 per hour). Our Advantage plan is designed for people driving at least twice a week.
Vehicle Premiums
AutoShare provides a full range of vehicles to
members. In some cases, like our Minivans and Mini Coopers, this requires a small premium to cover the extra costs of the vehicle purchase and operation. There are some locations where the cost of parking is high, for this small number of locations, we have a parking lot premium. Premiums are usually about $1 per hour.
AutoShare is a Membership-based service
To join AutoShare there is a one-time Membership Fee ($100 + GST). For couples living together, we offer a discounted Joint Membership Fee of $150 + GST. (See here for full details.)
30-day Money-back Guarantee
Our "30-day Trial Period" means that you can get a full refund (Membership Fee + GST) if you quit within 30 days of your Application. (The Application Fee is non-refundable.) For more info, please see our Join FAQ.
Build an Insurance Record
Members are considered to have been continually covered by AutoShare’s policy. We can provide you with a Letter of Insurance Coverage from our insurance company certifying your coverage history with AutoShare - which can save your $1,000's if you ever need to get personal auto insurance in the future.
Save by booking online
Internet reservations and changes are free. You can also use your Smart Phone to make a reservation, anywhere, anytime. Using our 24-hour call centre is $1.
Offset your Carbon Emissions
AutoShare has partnered up with ZeroFootprint to provide all members the option of offsetting the emissions resulted from their driving for about 1/2 ¢ per kilometer. To find out more about this program visit our ZeroFootprint page.
Gas @ 95¢/litre
AutoShare's rates are based on an average fuel cost of $0.95 / litre. To avoid constantly changing our rates simply due to fluctuations in the price of fuel, we add a small credit or surcharge to each kilometre travelled based on the average price paid by members for gas in that month (and our fleet's average consumption of 10 litres/100km).
PST + GST apply
All of our rates are subject to GST & PST, except the Monthly Plan & Annual fees (GST-only). |
