Adding a Second Driver
AutoShare members are welcome to apply with — or add — a partner or family member with whom they are living. Here’s how it works:
Insurance Clearance Fee
For two drivers to apply at once the Insurance Approval fee is $50 + GST.
To apply for the addition of a driver to an existing membership the fee
is $25 + GST.
Monthly Rates
AutoShare’s great monthly rates remain the same for both drivers
Mobility Membership Fee
The Membership Fee for two drivers is $150 + GST, and a $250 Deposit.
That’s $300 less than paying for two separate memberships.
Billing
A common monthly bill is sent to the joint members.
Criteria for Membership
To pass on the best rates to our members, we need to keep our insurance company
happy. That means our members must:
1. Be at least 23 years old
2. Have held a valid drivers license for atleast three years running
3. Currently hold a full class "G" license or an equivalent
4. Have NO speeding convictions 40 km above speed limit wihtin last 3 years
5. Have a maximum of four (4) minor driving infractions within the last three
years
6. Have NO MORE THAN one (1) at-fault accident in the previous five years
7 . Have NO careless driving or criminal charges
